Introduction to mutinies

A mutiny is where an individual in a position of power is in some way deemed to be unfit for duty, negligent, or otherwise undeserving of their position. The ideal of the mutiny is to elect a different individual for the position or positions in question.

While we do not endorse overthrowing the CO or command staff appointed by Central Command, we recognize that in some very rare cases, it may be ultimately for the betterment of all individuals manning the station if the current command structure were changed. This document is merely a guide to minimize death, injury, and most importantly: future litigation for the company. It is of critical importance that before a mutiny is declared as well as during, central command is kept informed of the proceedings. (Send an AHelp and depending on if roleplay allows, send an ideally signed or stamped fax to central command.)

Maintaining life

Mutinies are innately chaotic and messy ordeals. Mutineers and Employees should both do their best to prevent innocent injury or loss of life. It is of great importance that if it is deemed that during the process of mutiny, any individual realizes they, their subordinates, or their superiors, are causing more damage than necessary, they are highly advised to reconsider their stance in the mutiny.

Cause for Mutiny

While mutinies take multiple forms, they must all have a just cause. Below are some examples of possible causes for a mutiny.

  • None of the below are true, but the current CO or a command member are gravely inhibiting or halting the proper functioning of the workplace under their control, or they are deemed to be otherwise unfit for duty.
  • The current CO or a command member has committed many misdemeanors, and these greatly inhibiting or causing neglect of the proper functioning of the workplace under their control.
  • The current CO or a command member has committed one or more felonies, and these are inhibiting or causing neglect of the proper functioning of the workplace under their control.
  • The current CO or a command member has committed any Capital crimes.

Types of Mutinies

If there is just cause for a mutiny against the CO by the other heads of command, this would be considered a Command Revolt

If there is just cause for a mutiny against a specific head of command, this would be considered a Department Revolt

If there is just cause for a mutiny against a majority of heads of command as well as the CO, this would be considered a True Revolt or Revolution.
