Thief's Procedures
- You may only steal one item, as well as the essentials that are absolutely required to make it happen.
- The item of choice will be defined as "the target" within this SOP.
- You may also choose to steal a specific group of items, as listed below.
- Your goal is to sate your kleptomaniac tendencies, not get put in prison for longer than you need to.
- Avoid harming others at all costs.
- Even in self-defense, use any other tactics available to you to avoid multiple charges.
- Avoid unnecessary crimes.
- Avoid harming others at all costs.
- You should never be doing any permanent station damage, including removing entire parts of the station or making a role unplayable.
- You can get away with stealing the AI at the end of a shift, when evac's arrived.
- Stealing a single vault of guns from the armory is fine, but stealing the armory itself is not. If you steal more than one vault's worth, ensure they have the ability to replace it first.
- The target should not be easily accessible. You want a big heist, not some easy target.
- For example, you should not be stealing the target from cryosleep or the HoS office when there's no HoS.
- The target should not be absolutely required for certain modes or the progression of a department.
- You want something big, but not so big that Central Command will be after you for life, and definitely not something that disrupts the crew enough to send them after you.
- To be specific: do not steal the nuke, do not steal the cargo or salvage shuttle, do not steal an entire department, et cetera.
- If you are unsure if it's too far, ahelp and ask. If it ends up being too far and you didn't ask, it will be on you.
A list of items which can be stolen, resulting in minimal crew disruption:
- Any command stamps
- Any command cloaks
- Any command bedsheets
- Any rare techboard with a minimum tier of three.
